Disaster and Poverty Relief
SUR Foundation is committed to supporting people and communities facing hardship, crisis and urgent need — both here in Scotland and around the world.
Poverty, conflict, natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies can have a devastating impact on families and communities. In these moments, timely and practical support can make a real difference.
The Foundation aims to contribute towards disaster and poverty relief by supporting trusted organisations that are already working on the ground. This may include emergency food, clean water, shelter, sanitation, medical support, family essentials and longer-term help for communities rebuilding after crisis.
Our approach will be based on partnership, trust and responsible giving. SUR Foundation will work with established humanitarian and relief organisations to ensure that support reaches the people and places where it is needed most.
Where appropriate, the Foundation may enter into formal agreements with partner agencies, setting out clear roles, responsibilities and expectations. This will help ensure that resources are allocated effectively, transparently and in line with the Foundation’s charitable objectives.
Through this work, SUR Foundation aims to provide meaningful support in times of crisis while also helping communities recover, rebuild and move forward with dignity.
The Advancement of Education & Enterprise
All the intervention work, the Foundation aims to undertake will be focussed on relieving poverty for those who are at most risk. We aim to work with and support various international organisations to support communities who suffer from poverty and address some of the causes.
In the wider sense all the work the Foundation will undertake will be a public benefit.
Older Adults and Homeless
SUR Foundation supports communities across Scotland, with a focus on improving the lives of older people and young people.
Working alongside trusted charities, community groups and partners, we strengthen existing support, direct resources where they are needed most, and promote advocacy, collaboration and targeted funding to help build a more connected and inclusive society.
